Vascular and Pigmented Lesion Treatment

SharpLight’s system effectively treats a range of vascular lesions: telangiectasia, erythema, rosacea and broken capillaries by effectively coagulating and eliminating small blood vessels. Pulsed light has also been proven an effective, safe, reliable and fast treatment for a range of superficial lesions: dyschromia (discoloured skin), sun spots, matted pigmentation and melasma.

Pulsed-light technology uses hand-held flash lamps (6.4 cm2), which emit gentle pulses of light absorbed by the melanin in the skin and oxyhemoglobin in blood vessels. It is a selective destruction without damaging surrounding tissue.

All pulsed light treatments are safe, painless, and non-invasive, with minimal side effects.

The oxyhemoglobin in the blood within the vessel absorbs the pulsed- light, causing the blood to coagulate and the blood vessel to break into particles. The body’s lymphatic system naturally filters it away.

Targeted areas absorb the applied light, breaking the pigmented lesions into tiny particles that disappear or rise to the skin’s surface. The scabs naturally exfoliate within 1-2 weeks.

The typical regimen is an average of 3-6 treatment sessions spaced four weeks apart.

What areas are the Vascular Pigmentation performed on?

The skin on the face, neck, décolleté, lower arms and hands is ideal because it is thinner.

Clients 25 years of age and up are eligible.
